Suzanne Elliot

Suzanne started her rowing career as a freshman for Yorktown High School and is thrilled to be back home. After graduating high school, she continued her love of the sport at TBC Racing, Tufts University, and Georgetown University’s Women. She has competed both as a rower and coxswain at a number of regattas, including Head of the Charles, NCAA Championships, Eastern Sprints, Big East Championships, NESCAC Championships, Stotesbury Cup, and SRAAs.

Suzanne initially tried her hand at coaching novice women at Yorktown High School, and she has since gone on to coach for Washington-Lee High School, Potomac Scullers, and TBC Racing & Potomac Junior Scullers. She enjoys working with athletes of all backgrounds and has coached for athletes ranging from juniors to masters, from novice to elite, in sweeping and sculling. Her coaching philosophy is grounded in a holistic approach to rowing, emphasizing injury prevention, proper nutrition, and mindfulness to promote longevity in the sport. When not at the river, Suzanne can be found cooking, swimming, or in the woods.
