Where They Are Now

A number of notable Yorktown alumni have continued their rowing careers in college and beyond.  They include ...

Jonathan Wabeke (HB Woodlawn), 2013, U.S. Naval Academy.  As a sophomore, stroked the USNA 4th V8, which was ranked 5th in the EARC Sprints.

Tabby Andelin, 2011, University of Minnesota.

Shannon Johnston, 2011, Marietta University.  On the 2nd V8 when it earned fourth at the Dad Vail Regatta.

Daniel Thom, 2011, Syracuse University.  His boat, the freshman heavyweight 8, finished eleventh at EARC Sprints.

Annemarie Wamsted, 2011, Princeton University.  Rowed in the 2nd V4 which came in third at the Ivy League Championship Regatta.

Fielding Williams,  2011, Cornell University.  He won a bronze with the Freshman-1 heavyweight 8 in the EARC Sprints.

Hannah Yoest, 2011, University of Virginia.  A member of the Novice 8 that won a gold medal at the EARC Sprints.

Noelle Crosby, 2010, University of Central Florida.  The team came in 4th in the C-USA Women's Crew Championship Regatta.

Alex Gustafson, 2010, Boston University.  Her boat, the first varsity eight, came in third at the Eastern Sprints.

Paige Monborne, 2010, Dartmouth College.  Spent much of the year on injured reserve with a cracked rib.

Leon Suvak, 2010, University of Wisconsin.  Rowed in 1V-8 when it took bronze in the 2011 EARC Sprints.  Returned to Yorktown in 2014 to coach the Freshman and Novice Men.  

Elliott Oakley, 2009, University of Virginia.  Rowed the lightweight 4 to fourth place at the Dad Vail Championship Regatta.

Ian Suvak, 2009, Yale University.  Member of the 2V which finished 10th at the EARC Sprints.

Jack Vihstadt, 2009, Colby College.  Member of the V8 which finished twelfth at the New England Championships Regatta.
